13-inch MacBook Pro w/ Retina Display 2015 Review

It’s not unusual for Apple to premiere a device that looks like its predecessor. We’ve seen this motive on their iPhones by bringing Siri on the 4S and other succeeding versions. The company’s latest exploit the new 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina Display. We’d like to say that it’s new mainly because of Cupertino swapped out its traditional trackpad with a novel Force Touch pad – a pressure sensitive area that does a variety of tasks depending on the force a user applies. And of course, a bunch of other needed upgrades that Apple has promised previously.

MacBook Pro users will feel right at home when they use the refreshed version for the first time, although Force Touch will have its minor dips on the first try (it’ll take some time to get used to). It is still constructed out of aluminum with spacious key spaces that makes that comforting typing sound and bounce that we all love. Display wise, the new Mac has relatively thin bezels that gorgeously produce stunning images and videos via its 2,560×1, 600ppi display screen.

Apple’s new baby is also one of those to pack Intel’s latest Core processor, the Broadwell.  Owners will have a choice to go with either a dual-core Core i5 or i7 (no quad-core for now), as well as the latte’s Iris 6100 GPU. The hardware will draw a bridge to Intel’s claim that Broadwell should offer peak performances in terms of 3D graphics improvement and video rendering. This too will equate to better video production and editing time will be cut in half. Apple also added that the new MacBook will top the previous version’s read speed to about 1.6Gb/s, with write speeds stepping in at 1.5Gb/s.

The 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina Display will succumb to some 10 hours of web surfing and plus two when you’re watching videos over on iTunes. There are two USB 3.0 ports, HDMI, two Thunderbolts, headphone jack and an SD card slot. Putting the Mac on your backpack won’t be a chore, too: it only weighs around 3.48 pounds, so there’s pretty much enough space to carry some extra luggage.

Apple’s new MacBook will start at $1,299 that will come with a 2.7GHz Intel Core i5, Iris Graphics card, 8GB RAM, 128GB PCIe SSD. Throw in an extra $100 and you’ll get 2.9GHz Core i5, while going 3.0GHz will shed $300. Doubling the RAM capacity to 16GB will cost $200 and if you’re at it, check out Apple’s additional storage that starts from $1,499 (256GB) to $1,799 (512GB).
